Join Holly Lohuis, marine biologist, naturalist, and co-director of the Santa Barbara Channel Whale Heritage Area, for an inspiring lecture on the vital role whales play in regulating our climate and maintaining ocean health. From carbon sequestration to nutrient cycling, these ocean giants are key allies in the fight against climate change. Learn about the diverse whales and dolphins that inhabit the newly designated Santa Barbara Channel Whale Heritage Area and hear stories of conservation successes from the Channel Islands National Park.
