Our Monday Nonfiction Book Club meets online via Zoom. Membership is limited to 20; in case of over-enrollment, prospective participants will be placed on a wait-list.
Each discussion is led by a different group member, who comes in with suggested questions (which we are all free to supplement).
The book selected for January is: River of the Gods: Genius, Courage, and Betrayal in the Search for the Source of the Nile by Candice Millard.
Other books recently read include: The Premonition: A Pandemic Story (Michael Lewis); The Women’s Hour: The Great War to Win the Vote (Elaine Weiss); Last Boat Out of Shanghai: The Epic Story of the Chinese Who Fled Mao’s Revolution (Helen Zia).
